만원권지폐에 담겨있는 전통문화의 이해 - 명리학을 중심으로 -

Abstract

Culture refers to human behavior that constitutes a society that artificially changes the natural state or creates something new that is not in the world, making life convenient and beautiful and enriching it. Among the many cultures, traditional culture is a unique culture that has originated in the country and has been handed down from the past to the present. Modern people form and use various schemes and promises for convenience while organizing and living a society. One of the most used ones is money(note). The note contains the national culture, symbols, and meaning that are unique to the country, and has a direct and significant impact on the people's thoughts, knowledge, and lives. Therefore, the traditional culture in note is the most common and reasonable thing about our national culture, and it can be said to be a pride. Portrait of king Sejong, Ilwolobongdo, Yongbieocheonga of Hunminjeongeum, and Cheonsangyeolchabunyajido, which are depicted in a ten-thousand won note, all contain our precious traditional ideas and culture. In terms of culture, history, ideology, and politics of the nation, the designs of the note are not merely an economic function of money. The designs shown on ten-thousand won note are the Korean traditional culture. And they are connected with the spirit of our nation. By the way, all of the paintings of the note are based on Yin-Yang and five elements theory. So I try to analyze the paintings in the note and examine the Yin-Yang and five elements theory that became the basis of the traditional culture contained in them in this paper. Furthermore, it is the purpose of this paper to have a proper understanding of Myungri by rediscovering the traditional counseling psychology that includes Korean traditional idea and identity through ten-thousand won note.
