초록
In this work, the high-Tc superconducting (HTS) microstrip filter for microwave application of HTS materials was reported in terms of insertion losses, return losses, bandwidths and other various characteristics. Also, the comparison results between HTS filters and their gold counterparts were reported as the good example of HTS commercial applications. The HTS filter fabricated in this work was designed for Ku-band, which is useful band for satellite communications. To do this, we prepared HTS thin films on MgO substrates using pulse-laser deposition (PLD) technique. Our filters were based on the use of non-uniform microstrip line type, which was a stepped impedance resonator as a filter element. Also, a gold counterpart with the same dimensions was fabricated on MgO substrate by thermal evaporation technique for comparison. In the measured responses, our HTS filters showed the insertion loss of -0.2 dB at maximum. The other experimental results between HTS filters and their gold counterparts exhibited that a usable filter could be made by using this architecture for satellite-communication application.
