청동기시대 조기 移住와 定着의 고고학적 현상과 의미

본고는 우리나라 선사시대에 최초로 나타나는 청동기시대 조기 이주와 정착에 관한 현상을 이론적 접근을통해 밝히는 것에 초점을 두었다. 연구의 방법은 文化變動을 바라보는 주된 시각인 이주와 전파의 이론적 개념을이해한 다음, 이를 한반도 중남부지역 청동기시대 조기의 물질문화에 적용하는 ‘연역적 방법’을 적용하였다. 한반도 중남부지역 청동기시대 물질문화의 형성은 청천강~압록강유역의 한반도 서북지역의 큰 영향 아래. 두만강유역의 동북지역 문화요소가 융합하여 형성된 것으로 이해되어 왔다. 하지만 이 두 지역은 신석기시대에서 청동기시대로의 전환이 연속적인데 반해, 한반도 중남부지역의 해당시기 전환기는 극히 단절적인 것이 사실이다. 현재까지의 자료로 보는 한, 확실한 점은 한반도 중남부지역의 신석기시대 종말기의 상황이 뚜렷하지 않으며 이어지는청동기시대 개시기의 유물복합체와 보이는 異質性이다. 전환기에 돌연 등장한 이런 문화변동은 前시기와 개연성이짙은 한반도 서북지역의 그것과도 절대적인 차이를 보인다. 따라서 이러한 문화변동은 한반도 서북지역 주민의 집단 ‘移住’ 가능성을 상정할 수 있다. 이는 전파와는 분명히 구별해야 할 개념이며 이러한 이주와 그 후 정착의 과정은 또 다른 문화변동으로 인식할 수 있다. 본고의 핵심적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이주의 종류를 파악하고 이주를 발생케 하는 요인으로서 원거주지의 사회적 변동과 기후변동을 근거로 삼았다. 둘째, 이주 후, 정착의 고고학적 증거로 청동기시대 조기 방형주거지의 속성변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과, 주거지의 형태 및 속성이 초기에 비해 획기적으로 변화하는 시점을 포착하였으며, 이는 필자의 지난 토기연구 결과와도 정합하는 것으로서 청동기시대 조기 후반으로 획기할 수 있다. 마지막으로 이주 집단과 선주민의 力關係에 따른 공간적 모델을 창출하여 한반도의 실정에 맞게 추론하였다. 이에 따르면 한반도 중남부지역 신석기~청동기시대 전환기의 공간적 모델은 ‘獨立的 土地占有’ 임을 가정하였다.
Abstract
This paper focus on to prove migration and settlement in early Bronze age on the Korea peninsula by theoretical approach. Method of research is to understand cultural changes and then apply deductive method on the material culture of Korea peninsula. Formation of the material culture in early Bronze age is built by direct influence of the northwestern province where is Chung chun river and Aprok river basin. On the other hand, there is continuedness among the material culture in northwestern province and northeast province, there is no probability among the material culture between the Neolithic Age and early Bronze age on the Korea peninsula. Based on current data, one thing is for sure that phenomenon of terminal period of Neolithic Age is unclear, and there are so different among the archeological materials. Change in culture of the transition period is so different by northwestern province which is highly probable of the earlier times of the Bronze age. Therefore, I think that this phenomenon on the change in culture have the possibility by migration. Moving of a group is the people who live in northwestern province of the Korea peninsula. Also, this must be subdivided by culture diffusion. Migration and settlement process can be recognized another way which grasp the meaning of the archeological materials. Major core content of this paper is as follows. First, understanding on the sort and cause of migration, and then as a basis to this is social change and climate change. Second, after migration, As archeological evidence I select type of structure change process in early Bronze age on Young Seo province of Korea peninsula. As a result, I traced turning point which is changed comparing with the initial stage. And this is tally by my past studies which is presupposed in early Bronze age. Lastly, as creating spatial interaction model among the settler and indigenous people, I make a deduction apposite to the case of Korea peninsula. According to this, spatial interaction _63 model of the transition period between early Bronze age and Neolithic age is independent land occupation. Finally, I think that it goes with the course of time, material culture of the indigenous people is dissipated.
