근대 전개의 두 양상- '역사유동성 구조'의 시각에서 바라 본 독일프로이센(Preußen) 개혁과 조선 갑신정변

본 글은 상이한 역사적 상황과 조건 하에서 그리고 상이한 시대에서 전개된 독일 프로이센 개혁과 조선 갑신정변을 역사 사회학적으로 비교설명하고 그것의 정치적 의미를 이해하려는 하나의 시도이다. 본 연구는 양국의 개혁의 철학이나 이념 혹은 그러한 것들이 전반적으로 어떤 개혁의 내용을 만들어 내었는가에 관해서는 논의를 하지 않을 것이다. 대신 본 연구는 ‘역사유동성 구조’개하나의 역사적 사건 혹은 역사과정을 두 가지 측면에서, 즉 개혁의 전개를 둘러싼 특정의 상황의 변화를 관찰한다는 의미에서는 유동성의 측면에서, 그리고 자체의 법칙을 가지고 전개되는 특정의 상황을 관찰한다는 의미에서는 구조라는 측면에서 문제에 접근하도록 하는 장점을 준다. 요컨대 본 연구는 개혁의 시작과 종결 부분에 초점을 맞추어, 특정의 역사적 시점에서 하나의 개혁이 시작되려면 그 이전에 배후에 어떤 힘이 존재해야 하는지 그리고 특정의 역사적 6 근대 전개의 두 양상시점에서 개혁의 귀결로서 전개되는 역동성은 어떤 내용과 의미를 갖고 있는지에 대한 하나의 대답을 독일과 조선의 사례에 비추어 찾아가고자 한다.
Abstract
This paper explores two historical events from a historical-sociological perspective: German Prussian Reforms and Gap-Sin-Jung-Byun of the late Chosun Dynasty. The two nations experienced a reform under the diferent historical conditions and the different pressures of the modern world. But this paper will neither interpret the meaning of the action of major reform actors who led the reform, nor the meaning of philosophies and ideas which might have influenced on the action of such actors, although those are important. Instead it will treat the structural aspects of the two events, namely from a perspective of the structure of the historical mobility, a structure which we can supose to have influenced on the outbreak of the reform and to have conditioned historical process after the reform. In sum the purpose of this study is to interpret comparatively the dynamics and conditions which were appeared before and after the German Prussian Reforms and the Gap-Sin-Jung-Byun.
