대중의 집합적 슬픔 속에 내재된 애도담론과 감정정치 : 박정희 대통령과 노무현 대통령 서거를 중심으로

Abstract

This article aims to analysis collective grief and mourning action which citizens expressed around the two presidents, Park Jung-hee and Roh Moo-hyun, who were tragically killed in Korean modern history. As a result of examining the forms of mourning for the two presidents, regardless of their opposing political ideologies, Park Jung-hee was represented as a leader of a survival community that has been struggling together to overcome poverty and modernize the country, while Roh Moo-hyun was represented as a leader with a folksy roughness while devoting himself to post-authoritarianism and democracy. Each of emotional communities that mourns the two presidents through different symbol systems has accepted their tragic death as a loss of their identity by identifying the personal life and political journey of each of the leaders with their own lives. To elucidate this, I try to examine the emotional dynamics and the emotional structure of different emotional communities by analyzing the documentaries <Mis-President> and <Our President>.
