수출산업단지의 형성과 변모: 구로공단(1963∼1987년)

Abstract

In this paper, government policy regarding the formation of the Guro industrial complex and the changing characteristics of the Guro industrial complex itself and the firms in the complex from the year 1963 through the year 1987 were investigated. At first stage, the Guro industrial complex initiated with a goal to make an exporting industrial complex inducing Korean enterprisers residing in Japan. But as time goes by, this goal disappeared and government tried to induce the exporting large local enterprises instead. In the late 1970s, small urban enterprises began to move into the Guro industrial complex, as the government regulation to reduce the gravitation of population toward the metropolitan area strengthened. After all, the Guro industrial complex which was built in accordance with the exprt-oriented policy of central government was being transfigured coping with the industrial needs of the metropolitan area, Seoul.
