錦溪 黃俊良의 역사의식과 의리관 고찰 - 士宦期 前期의 글들을 중심으로 -

錦溪 黃俊良(1517~1563)은 퇴계학파에서 매우 중요한 인물이다. 하지만 그러한 이유로 이제까지 그에 관한 연구는 주로 황준량이 퇴계에 받은 영향을 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 본고는 이에 대해 약간의 이의를 제기하였다. 황준량의 본래 모습을 먼저 조명하고, 그것이 퇴계를 만나 어떻게 변모, 확장되는가를 규명하는 것이 바람직한 방향이라고 생각하였기 때문이다. 이러한 문제의식 아래 황준량의 사환기 초기 작품을 중심으로 선비와 역사가에 대한 사유를 탐색하고 유난히 밀도 높은 그 역사의식과 의리관을 고찰해 보았다. 황준량은 퇴계학의 여러 국면 가운데 특히 『주자서절요』와 관련하여 많은 주목을 받는다. 본고에서는 이 연구를 통해, 황준량이 퇴계를 만나 학문을 완성하였지만 그 바탕에는 자신 특유의 역사의식과 의리관이 지속적으로 작용했을 가능성이 농후함을 논증하려 하였다. 황준량과 퇴계의 만남이 구체적으로 어떻게 이루어지고 어떻게 진행되었는지는 후일의 과제로 남긴다.
Abstract
Geumgye Hwang Jun-ryang(錦溪 黃俊良, 1517~1563) is a very important person in Toegye School. However, for that reason, so far, research on him has mainly focused on finding out how Toegye Lee Hwang(退溪 李滉, 1501~1570) affected Hwang Jun-ryang. This paper raised some objections to this issue. This is because I thought it would be a desirable direction to illuminate Hwang Jun-ryang's original appearance first and to meet Toegye to find out how it transforms and expands. Under this awareness of the problem, we explored the thoughts of scholars and historians, focusing on the early works of Hwang Jun-ryang, who entered the government office, and considered the very dense historical consciousness and loyalty. Among the various aspects of Toegyeology, Hwang Jun-ryang receives a lot of attention, especially in relation to 『Jusseojeolyo』(朱子書節要). This paper tried to argue the following facts through this study. It is highly likely that Hwang Jun-ryang met Toegye to complete his studies, but his unique historical consciousness and True loyalty continued to work on the basis. How the meeting between Hwang Joon-ryang and Toegye took place and how it proceeded remains a future task.
