초록

This study examined the factors influencing volunteer activity continuity among young adults. Using data from 330 respondents collected through online surveys, we investigated the relationships between volunteer motivation, satisfaction, facilitating factors, and intention to continue volunteering. The research employed correlation analysis, generalized linear models (GLM), and dual mediation analysis using JASP. Results revealed that volunteer motivation had a strong direct effect on continuity intention. Additionally, motivation influenced continuity through two mediation pathways: (1) through satisfaction, and (2) through the dual mediation of satisfaction and facilitating factors. The dual mediation model demonstrated superior fit compared to alternative models, explaining that satisfaction with volunteer activities and facilitating factors both significantly contributed to continuity intention. These findings suggest that while motivation directly promotes volunteer continuity, organizational and psychological support systems play crucial mediating roles. Understanding volunteers' perceived needs for psychological and organizational conditions is essential for developing effective retention strategies in volunteer management, particularly for young adult volunteers.
