침례교 관점에서 본 선교적 해석학의 평가와 적용

본 논문의 목적은 Missio Dei 관점에서 성경을 해석하는 선교적 해석학(missional hermeneutic)을 침례교 관점에서 평가하고적용하는 데 있다. Missio Dei 개념은 하나님의 선교를 복음전파와다양한 차원의 사회 활동을 포함하는 포괄적 개념으로 변화했다. 선교 개념 확장은 성경을 해석할 때 일관되고 통일된 기준을 제시하지 못하며, 해석자마다 가지고 있는 각각의 선교 관점에 따라 다양한 방식의 해석을 낳는다. 이런 변화는 20세기 선교신학의 변화와 성경해석학의 흐름과도 연결된다. 선교신학은 1910년 에딘버러선교대회 이후 변화하기 시작하였으며, 성경해석학은 20세기 다양한 해석 방법론이 나타나기 시작했다. 선교적 해석학은 이러한 변화 가운데 나타난 것으로 각기 다른 해석학적 접근을 가지고 있다. 헌스버거는 이를 네 가지 유형으로 분류한다. 본 논문은 선교적 해석학이 나타난 배경과 헌스버거(George R. Hunsberger)가 제시한 선교적 해석학의 네 가지 유형을 성경중심해석과 상황중심해석으로 분류하고, 침례교 관점에서 평가하고자 한다. 선교적 해석학은 성경적 선교 사명을 수행하기 위한 성경 해석 방법론이다. 특히, 선교적 해석학에서 강조하는 선교 공동체로서의 교회 강조는 침례교 신학과 맞닿아 있다. 침례교의 교회론은 ‘신자’ 개념을 중시한다. 신자는 성경을 기초로 그리스도인이라는 자기이해(self-definition)를 통해 복음을 실천하는 주체가 되며, 공동체 안에서 성경적 세계관과 가치관을 형성함으로 선교사명의 책임을 감당할 수 있다. 이는 성경에서도 발견된다. 선교는 그리스도를 믿는 신자들에게 주어진 사명이다. 신자는 그리스도를 통해자기이해를 형성할 때 복음전파의 사명을 수행할 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the missional hermeneutics which interpret the Bible in terms of Missio Dei from the point of view of the Baptist theology. The common understanding on Missio Dei has been changed into a com prehensive concept including not just gospel dissemination but various social movements. This extension of the concept of mission has failed to make a united and consistent interpretation on the Bible that each interpreter has a separate missional point of view on his/her own. This is caused somewhat by the change of the mission theology and the Exegetics in the 20th century. Mission theology has had changes since 1910 Edinburgh Missionary Conference and the Exegetics has come to have a variety of methodologies in the 20th century. This kind of changes caused the missional hermeneutics. George R. Hunsberger introduces four different types of heremeneutical approaches on this kind of changes in the 20th century missional hermeneutics. First, I classify the settings where the missional heremeneutics began and Hunsberger’s four types of missional heremeneutics into the Bible-centered hermeneutics and the context-centered heremeneutics. Then I evaluate that from the Baptist point of view. Missional hermeneutics is a methodology to accomplish the Biblical mission. Especially, missional heremeneutics emphasizes that church is a missional community. This shows a strong connection to the Baptist theology. The Baptist’s ecclesiology take heed of the ‘believer’ concept. A believer becomes a subject who practices the gospel through the self-definition as Christian based on the Bible. In the com munity, he/she performs the biblical world view so that he/ she becomes able to fulfill the mission. The Bible shows this as well. The mission is a vocation given to believers. Believers are able to fulfill the mission of gospel dissemination when they build the self-definition through Christ.
