본 연구는 장애인고용의무제 인지도와 장애인정책 신뢰도가 장애인의 경제활동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보면서, 자기효능감의 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 장애인고용패널 2차웨이브 7차(2022년) 횡단자료를 활용하였고 3,557명을 최종표본으로 하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과로 첫째, 장애인고용의무제 인지도가 경제활동에 미치는 영향에 있어서는 직접효과가 정의 관계로 나타났으며, 자기효능감을 매개로 한 간접 효과 또한 정의 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애인정책 신뢰도가 자기효능감에 영향을 주는 것과 관련해서는 고용정책 신뢰도와 교육정책 신뢰도만이 자기효능감에 유의한 정의 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 고용, 교육, 문화체육, 서비스 전반 정책 신뢰도가 장애인의 경제활동에 영향을 미치는 직접효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타난 반면, 복지정책 신뢰도는 장애인의 경제활동에 부의 영향을 유의미하게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 고용과 교육정책 신뢰도는 자기효능감을 매개로 한 장애인의 경제활동에 완전매개효과가 있는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구의 결과는 장애인고용의무제 인지도와 장애인 고용·교육정책의 신뢰도가 개인의 자기효능감을 높이고 이것이 다시 장애인의 경제활동 증진으로 이어지는 경로를 보여줌으로써, 향후 장애인 경제활동 증진을 위해 장애인의 정책 인지도와 신뢰도를 높이는 노력과 함께 개인의 내적 효능감을 높이는 노력이 필요함을 시사하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to empirically verify the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between awareness of the Disability Employment Quota System and trust in disability-related policies on the economic activity of persons with disabilities. The research utilized cross-sectional data from the 7th wave (2022) of the second wave of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED), with a final sample of 3,557 participants. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, awareness of the Disability Employment Quota System had a significant positive direct effect on economic activity, and a significant positive indirect effect through self-efficacy. Second, among various policy trust variables, only trust in employment policy and trust in education policy showed significant positive effects on self-efficacy. Third, while trust in employment, education, culture, sports, and general service policies did not have significant direct effects on the economic activity of persons with disabilities, trust in welfare policy had a significant negative effect. Fourth, trust in employment and education policies demonstrated full mediation effects on economic activity through self-efficacy. The results of this study show that awareness of the mandatory employment system for persons with disabilities and trust in employment and education policies for persons with disabilities increase individual self-efficacy, which in turn leads to increased economic activity for persons with disabilities. Therefore, to promote economic activity for persons with disabilities in the future, efforts are needed to increase policy awareness and trust, as well as to increase individual internal efficacy.
