동아시아 해양 네트워크의 형성과 변화

Abstract

This study aims to examine the historical and cultural processes of the formation and transformation of maritime network in East Asia with special reference to the history and culture of East Asian sea world. To achieve this aim, It also deals with the cultural characteristics and meanings of the formation and transformation of East Asian maritime network.First of all, I will ask the question of what the sea is to the East Asian peoples. The recognition of East Asian sea world has close relationship with the formation and transformation of East Asian maritime network. From the historical perspective, East Asian sea has provided the culture of East Asian peoples with diverse and complex maritime networks. East Asian maritime networks had been formed and transformed by the strong influence of the construction of maritime silk road in East Asian sea world. Among East Asian areas, especially the harbours or port cities has played a dominant role in the formation and tranformation of East Asian maritime culture. The port cities of East Asia, including Busan, Incheon, , Gunsan, Mokpo(Korea), Nagasaki, Kobe, Yokohama, Hirado, Hukuoka(Japan), Hong Kong, Macao, Shanghai, Chingtao(China), Malacca, Jakarta, Manila, Hue(Southeast Asia) has been well-known for the encountering place where the various and heterogeneous cultures from the seas and the in-lands have been mixed. This historical and cultural processes had been major factor in making and changing of the specific and unique maritime networks in East Asia because of brokage of East Asian port cities. In this respect, I conclude that the reconsideration of the cultural significance of the East Asian maritime network and the sea world in this area have a very important cultural meaning in understanding the East Asian history and culture.
