본 논문은 비판적 사고 교육의 목적을 위해 논증적 글쓰기가 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지, 또 그 방법은 무엇인지를 고찰해 보기 위한 것이다. 본 논문이 다루 고자 하는 내용은 다음과 같이 크게 4가지로 구분된다. 첫째, 제4차 산업혁명 시 대로 진입하는 현대 사회에서 비판적 사고는 왜 필요하며, 그 중요성이 왜 증대 되는가 하는 문제를 고찰해 보았다. 둘째, 비판적 사고는 철학적으로 어떻게 규 정될 수 있고 그 의미가 무엇인지에 대해 칸트와 칼 포퍼의 관점을 살펴보았다. 셋째, 비판적 사고는 가르쳐 질 수 있는 것인지에 대한 물음과 그것이 가르쳐질 수 있다면 그 목적은 무엇인지에 대해 리차드 폴과 이스라엘 세플러의 관점에서 고찰해 보았다. 넷째, 논증과 논증적 글쓰기가 비판적 사고와 어떤 관계에 있으 며 또 어떻게 영향을 미치는지에 대해 설명하고자 하였다. 또한 논증적 글쓰기의 구체적 방법을 툴민의 논증모델을 통해 고찰해 보았다. 주제어: 제4차 산업혁명, 비판적 사고, 비판적 사고교육, 논증적 글쓰기, 툴민의 논증모델
Abstract
This paper is intended to examine what the argumentative writing roles can be played and how it can be played for the purpose of critical thinking education. The contents of this paper are divided into four main categories. Firstly, in the modern age of the fourth industrial revolution, we considered why critical thinking is necessary and why it increases its importance. Secondly, the critical thinking is examined from a point of view of Kant and Karl Popper, who could theoretically define how and what it means. Thirdly, the question of whether critical thinking can be taught in terms of Richard Paul and Israel Scheffler. And if it can be taught, what is the purpose? Fourthly, I give an explanation, how argumentation and argumentative writing relates to the critical thinking and how it affects it. And the specific method of argumentative writing was examined through the model of the Toulmin’s theory of argument.
