침구사 및 유도정복사 양성 과정 대학생에 있어서의 시각장애인침사에 대한 의식조사

Abstract

we conducted a perception research on visually-impaired acupuncturists among the university students who are majoring in acupuncture and moxibustion or trainer and manipulative techniques. Those are the students studying at a university that trains judo therapists, which is also licensed by the government. The national regulation governing the licensing of acupuncturists and judo therapists had been the same until thirty-some years ago, but the percentage of the visually-impaired are smaller among the judo therapists.There were statistically-meaningful differences between the students in two courses on some of the statements. Larger number of acupuncture and moxibustion students responded positively to the statements such as "I might not be able to understand the explanation given by the therapist during the session," "People who perform acupuncture should be certified by the government," "There are visually-impaired acupuncturists," "Visually-impaired can perform acupuncture on his/her own," and "Visually-impaired have superior tactile sense." To the statement "The premise is spotless as both in and outside therapy room is perfectly cleaned," more judo therapy students responded positively. We did not find statistically-meaningful differences on other statements.Students in both courses have not received enough acupuncture sessions and they lack understanding for the visually-impaired in general and visually-impaired acupuncturists. They need to receive education on visually-impaired acupuncturists as well as on matters directly related to acupuncture.
