中國 古典詩의 中和美 考察 - 唐詩에 표현된 中和美를 중심으로 -

Abstract

A study of symmetry in Classical Chinese Poetry Go, Jin-aA peculiarity of Classical Chinese Poetry is Symmetry(中和美). Symmetry is rooted in harmonizing with ethical moral of Confucian thought. But It has an effect on unity of nature and man(天人合一)ㆍunion of external objects and self (物我一體) in Taoist. Confucius made the most of three points in poetic, 'accomplishments and solid qualities are equally blended(文質彬彬)' 'there is no wickedness in a thought(思無邪)'ㆍ'don't take pleasure too much(樂而不淫), ‘don't feel sad too much(哀而不傷)’. It means poet has to take heed of harmony between thought and feeling. Symmetry had an important bearing on Classical Chinese Poetry . For that reason, Classical Chinese Poetry put emphasis on harmony of human relationships first, a man-woman relationship, family relations and so on. Classical Chinese Poetry has been represented love, friendship, faith and filial piety. Besides, Symmetry stressed the harmony of human and nature. The ancients took human as the unit of nature, sympathized with nature.
