Abstract
The Trend in Composition Education Research Method Park, Young-mok There were the different kinds of position about how to construct the meaning in composition theory. These various composition theories were developed according to the development of linguistics, cognitive psychology, social science, and literature theory. They could be summarized into formality composition theory, cognitive composition theory, and socio-cognition composition theory. These three composition theories were reflected in the trend of composition research field, which dealt meaning construction method from 1960 to 1990. However, these composition theories were separated into three categories for reasons of showing characteristic features connected with adjacent studies efficiently. It's because one composition theory hardly substituted for another one, and various composition theories had the support of different composition researchers.
