유기체 철학과 사회생물학의 관점에서 본 유전자의 이타성

Abstract

This paper tries to review altruism of gene in the point of the philosophy of organism and sociobiology. In other words, selfishness for survival can be said altruism. That gene has unselfish nature can ironically be heard, however, this altruism of gene is based on ethics. This paper is to review the relationship between an individual and gene, between selfishness and altruism of gene, and how unselfish nature of gene relates to ethics. The author tries to analysis altruism of gene in respect of the philosophy of organism and sociobiology. First of all, the writer reviews life, cell, and the nature of gene which Whitehead explains, and then those of Edward O. Wilson and Richard Dawkins. Biology shows the proofs that gene has not only selfish nature, but also unselfish nature, however biology doesn't exactly explain the human evolution and the nature of gene.
