아동의 4단계 자아실현을 위한 전능감과 참자기의 중요성 - 『훌라후프 돌리기 여왕』과 『달님을 잡아라』를 중심으로

아동들의 자아실현은 나이와 발달과정에 따라 성인들과는 달리 특별한 방식으로 논의되어야 한다. 아동의 자아실현은 영아기에 구축되는 원초적 전능감과 참자기가 선행되어야 하기 때문이다. 아동의 자아실현을위해서는 유아기에 경험한 전능감과 참자기의 원초적 욕구충족이 내재화되어야 한다. 이때 아동은 원초적 욕구가 창조적 에너지로 발현될 때사회성이 생겨나고 자아실현에 도달할 수 있다. 『훌라후프 돌리기 여왕』과 『달님을 잡아라』는 원초적인 전능감과 참자기가 주변 공동체의 환경으로부터 어떻게 영향을 받아 자아실현을 가능케 해주는지를 보여준다. 자아실현은 아동에게 올바른 자아가 구축되어 자의식이 형성되어야만 내적 욕구를 충족시키고 더 나아가 자존감이증진됨으로써 도달할 수 있다. 두 작품 속의 주인공 아동은 자신들의 승인과 인정을 획득하려는 내적 욕구와 그리고 성공하고 싶은 사회ㆍ문화적 갈망들을, 조망수용능력과 같은 총체적인 사회성을 가진 주변 사람들로부터 공급받는다. 그러나 아동들의 자아실현은 사회적 성공 이상의 심리적 중요성을가지고 있다. 두 작품에 등장하는 아동은 원초적 전능감과 참자기의 구축을 위하여 훌라후프와 야구를 사용한다. 후기전이대상인 ‘훌라후프’와‘야구’는 그들의 내적욕구를 표출할 수 있는 대상들이며 모든 열정을 투사하고 몰입하게 함으로써 삶에 희열을 가져다주는 후기전이현상을 불러일으킨다. 아동들은 이러한 현상을 따라 창조적인 사회ㆍ문화 활동으로 발현됨으로써 자아실현에 이르게 된다.
Abstract
Children's self-actualization should be discused in a specifc way acording to their age and developmental stages. This is because the primordial sense of omnipotence and true self that is built up in infancy is a prerequiste for it. When the internalized omnipotence and true self become a primal ned, and they are expresed as creative energy, children can reach self-actualization. The Hula Hopin' Quen and Catching the Mon show how the primordial omnipotence and true self direct children to achieve self-actualization. These children who have the true self may gain it by satisfying their iner neds. They, with inter-social capabilty later on, such aself estem and perspective view, wil be led to a sucesfulife in their community. Children's self-actualization has a psychological signifcance. The hula hop and basebal, the second transitonal objects, can evoke the second transitonal phenomenon. By sensing their omnipotence and true self, they wil reach the fourth stage of self-actualization. Self-actualization that integrates the iner world with the outer world is an important social activity for their growth and development.
