Abstract
In this paper, ‘S’, which appeared with a girl novel, was presumed to be a fashionable culture among girls at that time and studied the relationship of women in “Yaneurano nisyozyo”. From the Meiji era to the pre-war period, it was natural for a woman to have more than a friendship. The reason for this is that Japan has pursued nationalism since the Meiji Restoration. It is the explanation that Confucianism introduced the education of the male elderly as a result, and the boys and girls of adolescence will naturally find the object of love in the schoolyard. Ironically, the girls who acquired ‘self’ in modern education received solidarity with their own solidarity in modern space without men. The girl culture called ‘S’ is also the result of the environment of modern times and the request. Therefore, the role of ‘S’ as a culture of patriarchal male-centered society and compulsory heterosexuality can not but be admitted. The relationship between Akiko and Tamaki in the works is acknowledged as a special object and confirmed the mind. They promise to live a life together and leave the space of Geumnam and walk into the world. It is easy to imagine that their future is never smooth and that the relationship of ‘S’ may not be protected either. Nevertheless, the fact that this novel received overwhelming support from unmarried women has positively expressed their latent desires and selves, and it is because they are recognized.
