경력전환 중년 신학대학원 성인학습자의 학습경험을 통한 소명의식 발전과정 탐색
Exploring the Development Process of Middle-Aged Adult Learners’ Sense of Calling through Learning Experience at Theological Seminary

본 연구는 ‘제 2인생’의 방향으로 ‘목회자의 길’을 선택하여 40대 중년 나이에 그동안 10년 이상 쌓아 온 사회경력을 떠나 신학대학원에 입학하여 학습하는 ‘경력전환 중년 신학대학원 성인학습자’의 학습경험의 의미와 과정을 심층적으로 탐색하는 것이 연구의 목적이다. 연구를 위해 7명의 연구 참여자에 대한 직접 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 근거이론 방법 단계에 따라 범주화와 패러다임 모형에 의한 구조분석, 그리고 선택코딩을 통해 핵심범주와 과정모형을 도출하였다. 연구결과, 총 60개의 개념과 24개의 하위범주와 13개의 범주가 도출되었고, ‘보다 통합된 삶과 발전된 목회소명을 향해 나아감’이라는 핵심범주와 ‘결단단계’, ‘도전단계’, ‘전환단계’, ‘통합단계’로 변화하는 소명의식의 발전 과정모형을 발견하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 분석 결과를 기초로 경력전환 중년 신학대학원 성인학습자의 학습경험의 의미를 가) 자아통합과정, 나) 소명의식의 발전적 전환과정, 다) 지속적인 자기성찰 과정 등으로 정리하였고, 더불어 연구의 한계점 및 후속 연구방향도 간략히 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the development process of middle-aged adult learners' sense of calling through the learning experience at theological seminary. In order to accomplish the purpose, this study has adopted grounded theory method and chosen seven middle-aged students at a theological seminary in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Data was collected from in-depth interviews and memos, and was analyzed using open coding, axial coding and selective coding. The result of data analysis are sixty concepts, twenty four sub categories, and thirteen categories. In addition, the core category discovered is ‘moving forward for more integrated life and pastoral calling,’ and the process model identified are 'decision', 'challenge', 'transition', 'integration'. Based on the result of data analysis, the meanings of middle-aged adult learners's learning experience at a theological seminary are emerged in terms of 'self-integration,' 'transformation of sense of calling,' and 'on-going self-reflection.'
