본 연구는 신학전공 만학도가 대학 생활 과정에서 어떤 경험을 하는지에 대해 알아보고자 했다. 이를 위해 8명의 만학도를 심층 면접하고 근거이론을 적용하여 분석하였다. 개방코딩결과 82개의 개념과 42개의 하위범주, 23개의 범주로 조사되었다. 축코딩 결과 중심현상은 ‘하나님의 종으로 부르심에 순종’으로 밝혀졌으며, 이를 중심으로 참여자들의 신학전공 만학도의 대학 생활 경험에 대한 패러다임 모형이 도출되었다. 핵심범주는‘하나님 종으로 부르심에 나를 내려놓고 순종하기’로 나타났다. 시간의 흐름에 따른 신학전공 만학도의 대학 생활 경험 과정은 길을 찾아 두드리기, 나를 내려놓음, 나눔과 섬김으로 연결고리 찾기, 장애 넘어서기, 변화와 성장하는 삶의 5단계를 거치는 것으로 나타났다. 선택코딩의 결과 신학전공 만학도의 대학생활 경험 유형은 갈등형, 안주형, 변화와 성숙형으로 분류되었다. 본 연구 결과로 신학전공 만학도의 대학 생활 경험 과정의 각 단계별 개입 방안에 대해 논의하였으며, 후속 연구를 제언하였다. 본 연구는 신학전공 만학도의 대학 생활 경험 과정을 통합적으로 탐색하여 기초자료를 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study was to identify the experiences of campus life for adult learners who are major in theology. Depth Interview was conducted with 8 adult learners and grounded theory was used for data analysis. 82 concepts, 42 low rank and 23 categories were classified as the result of open coding, The central phenomenon of axial coding was revealed as 'obedience to the call of God as servant', and a paradigm model for the participants’ experience of campus life for adult learners in the theology major was derived. The core category appeared to be ‘putting me down and obedience to the call of God as servant’. The course of experiences of campus life for adult learners major in theology over time has been shown to go through five stages of finding a way and knocking, putting down myself, finding the link by sharing and serving, overcoming obstacles and life with change and growing. As the major research findings, the types of experiences of campus life for adult learners major in theology were classified into conflict, complacency, and satisfaction with the result of selective coding. The findings of this study suggest how to intervene in each phase of the adult learners’ campus life experience major in theology. Furthermore it suggests a following up study. As to this research, there is important to present that this study provides basic data by exploring the course of the campus life experience of the adult learners major in theology comprehensively.
