미래의 학습장애에 대한 대안으로서의 메타 인지:개념적 접근 및 교육적 시사점을 중심으로

학습장애의 원인이 자신의 인지활동을 조절할줄 아는 자기조절의 메타인지 능력의 부족에서 기인됨을 밝힘으로써 메타인지 능력의 발달이 성공적인 학습결과를 가져온다는 연구결과들로 인해 메타인지(metacognition)개념은 학습장애의 대안으로서 교육 및 특수교육 분야 에서 새롭게 조명되어지고 있다. 특히 점차 늘어나는 학습부진 및 학습장애에 대한 교육적 대안의 필요성에 대한 인식에서부터 출발한 본 연구는 본 연구는 학습장애의 대안으로서의 메타인지 개념의 이론적 적합성을 분석하고, 자신의 문제해결과정을 스스로 계획하고(planning), 점검하고(monitoring), 평가(evaluation)하는, 자기조절의 메타인지 능력을 기르고, 학습에 있어 주체적 역할을 담당하는 자기조절 학습자(self-regulated learner)로 기르고자 하는 ‘배우는 방법을 배우는’ 인지교육프로그램의 교육적 의의 및 시사점에 대해 알아보고자 한다.
Abstract
This study starts from recognition on the impotance of metacognitive educational intervention for academic underachievement and learning disabilities. Recent some psychological researches results according which metacognitive competence is major predictable variable of successful academic achievement, give rise a increased interest about ‘metacognition’ as educational prevention for learning disabilities. Accordingly this study attempts to examine the theological adequacy of metacognition for learning disabilities, by conceptual approach to metacognition and also to reveal the efficiency of this instructional model of "learn how to learn" cognitive program ,evaluated as un useful instrument to increase the efficient thinking ability and then to prevent the future learning disabilities.
