진로 전환기 중년여성의 진로구성 상담 사례연구

초록

본 연구는 Savickas(2011, 2015)의 진로구성 인터뷰(CCI: Career Construction Interview)를 활용하여 진로구성 상담을 실시한 단일 사례연구이다. 본 연구의 목적은『생애설계 상담 매뉴얼(Life-Design Counseling Manual; Savickas, 2015)』에 따라 내담자의 CCI를 평가한 후, 생애 초상화를 공동구성함으로써 한 개인의 진로 이야기(career story)를 만들어가는 과정을 구체적으로 제시하고, 이러한 과정이 중년여성의 진로 전환기 어려움에 어떠한 의미와 효과를 가져왔는지를 확인하여, 진로 및 직업상담 현장에서의 유용성과 적용 가능성을 검토해보고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로 및 직업상담 현장에서 진로 전환기 불확실성의 문제를 가진 중년 여성에게 진로구성 상담이 주는 긍정적인 의미와 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 상담 종료 후, 9개월이 지난 후에도 상담을 통한 변화와 효과를 확인하여, 진로구성 상담의 효과가 장기간 지속됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 3회기의 단기 진로상담에도 불구하고, 내담자가 깊은 반성과 성찰을 경험하고, 자신만의 진로 이야기를 통해 정체성을 확고히 하여, 미래의 진로 관련 의사결정에 대한 확신감과 용기를 갖게 되었다는 점에서 단기 상담의 적용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의 및 시사점, 한계 등을 기술하였다.

Abstract

This is a single case study of career construction counseling utilizing Savickas' (2011, 2015) Career Construction Interview (CCI). The purpose of this study was to analyze the client's CCI according to the Life-Design Counseling Manual (Savickas, 2015) and to present the process of constructing an individual's career story by co-constructing a life portrait, and to examine its usefulness and applicability in the field of career and vocational counseling by identifying the meaning and effectiveness of this process on a middle-aged woman's career transition difficulties. The findings of this study are as follows. First, we were able to confirm the positive meaning and effect of career construction counseling on middle-aged women with career transition uncertainty in the field of career and vocational counseling. Second, we were able to confirm the long-term effect of career construction counseling by confirming the changes and effects of the counseling even after 9 months after the end of the counseling. Third, even after three sessions of short-term career counseling, the applicability of short-term counseling was confirmed in that the client experienced deep reflection and reflexivity, solidified her identity through her own career story, and gained confidence and courage in making future career-related decisions. Based on these findings, the significance, implications, and limitations of this study were presented.
