다문화 TV 프로그램 이웃집 찰스를 분석한 결과, 다문화사회 이행 과정에서발생하는 문제를 엿볼 수 있었다. 방송 분석 결과를 바탕으로 다음을 제언하였다. 첫째, 이주민이 포함된 다문화 가족이 겪는 언어장벽을 줄여야 한다. 이를 위해언어지원 서비스에 대한 인지율과 접근성을 높여야 한다. 둘째, 이주민이 출연하는 방송’에 대한 더 구체적인 조항을 추가해야 한다. 셋째, 선주민 배우자 대상 상담을 확대해야 한다. 넷째, 이주민들이 거주하고 있는 지역자치단체의 역할을 확대해야 한다.
Abstract
By analyzing the multicultural TV program ‘My Neighbor, Charles’, we were able to identify issues that arise during the transition to a multicultural society. According to the results of the broadcast analysis, we proposed the following recommendations. Firstly, it is essential to reduce the language barriers confronted by multicultural families that include immigrants. In order to implement this, we should increase awareness and accessibility of language support services. Secondly, it is necessary to add more specific provisions regarding ‘broadcasts featuring immigrants’. Thirdly, counseling services targeting host community spouses should be expanded. Fourthly, it is necessary to expand the role of local governments in the areas where immigrants reside.
