한국 대학생의 중국문화 인식실태 연구 - 5개 주요도시를 중심으로 -

Abstract

This study was written through a survey of Korean university students. Not only the geographical distance between China and Korea is near, both countries' emotional distance is getting nearer due to Korean wave. I felt a great necessity to explore into Korean university students' perceptions on Chinese culture at this time. University students are not rejective to Western or foreign culture; they respond sensitively to the culture at their times; they play the most important role in forming a new culture; and they inquire into the cultural phenomenon and assume a critical attitude toward it. Therefore, examining their recognition seems to be helpful for predicting the future prospect for Korean wave or establishing a cultural exchange between Korean and Chinese teenagers and Korea-China relationship. University students living in Seoul was chosen as the respondents of survey because Seoul is not only the capital of Korea, but the biggest city in Korea; and it is meaningful to find out the cultural recognition from the city with the most active inflow of foreign cultures. As for the rest of the cities, provinces with the fastest inflow of foreign cultures and high economic standard were selected, and this will be helpful to find out the perception gap for each area.
