Abstract

The Purpose of this study was to investigate the fear factors and fear beliefs from the preschool children's point of view. The subjects of this study were 200 preschool children. The results of factor analysis of th fear scale revealed five unique fear factors: imaginative factors, animal factors, injury factors, daily factors and punitive factors. The analysis of the fear beliefs showed that preschoolers were thought that they might be attacked by predatory animals. While dealing with the animals, preschoolers trusted the capability of easy access and that they can play with them. And preschoolers believed that their family, friends, ordinary people, and even animals and plants will experience fear like them.
