본 연구는 장애 부모에게서 자란 비장애 자녀가 경험하는 어려움을 실증자료를 통해 검증해 본 것이다. 이를 위해 Sahoo and Suar(2009)가 문헌검토를 통해 구성한 모형을 토대로, 부모의 장애여부가 아동기 자녀의 신체적, 심리적, 사회적 발달에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 분석에는 제1차 한국복지패널 자료가 활용되었다. 분석결과, 장애부모에게서 자란 비장애 자녀가 경제적으로 어려운 환경에서 자라고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 신체발육 상태 역시 전반적으로 좋지 않은 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 자아 존중감을 제외하고, 우울 및 불안, 주의집중저하, 위축 등에서 모두 부정적으로 나타나 이들의 심리적 상태가 불안정함을 알 수 있었다. 학교생활에 있어서도 학업 성취정도가 비장애 부모의 아동보다 유의미하게 낮았으며, 학교폭력 피해경험 또한 많았던 것으로 확인되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 장애부모 자녀에 대한 사회복지지원 체계 및 개입 방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to ascertain the difficulty of the children raised by parents with disability using the survey data. For this purpose, this study tries to verify the difference of children's physical, psychological, and social status between children raised by parents with(type-A) and without(type-B) disability by using the Korea Welfare Panel Data. The result shows that the type-A children have more physical, psychological, and social difficulties than type-B. In detail, type-A children have grown up in difficult economic environment and have bad physical growth status. Also, these children are more depressed and dispirited, and have low concentration than type-B children. More seriously, these children have more experienced the school violence. Therefore, social attention and solution are required for these difficulties of type-A children.
