수용전념치료 집단프로그램이 성매매 경험 여성의 복합 PTSD, 경험회피 및 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구에서는 수용전념치료 집단프로그램이 성매매 경험 여성들의 복합 PTSD, 경험회피, 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 검증하였다. 이를 위해 탈성매매여성을 지원하는 ‘가’ 지역 A센터와 ‘나’ 지역 B센터를 이용하는 성매매 경험 여성들 중 A센터 이용자 중 8인을 대기통제집단에 배치하고, B센터 이용자 중 9인을 처치집단에 배치하였다. 처치집단은 한 회기 당 120분씩 총 8회기 동안 프로그램을 진행하였다. 두 집단 모두 프로그램 시작 전 사전검사, 프로그램 종료 직후 사후검사, 프로그램 종료 4주 후 추후검사를 실시하였다. 혼합설계 분산분석을 실시한 결과, 처치집단은 대기통제집단에 비해 프로그램 종료 직후 복합 PTSD와 경험회피가 유의미하게 감소되었고, 전반적인 외상 후 성장 수준과 외상 후 성장 하위요인 중 ‘자기지각의 변화’ 요인과 ‘대인관계의 깊이 증가’ 요인의 수준이 유의미하게 증가하였다. 이러한 처치효과는 프로그램 종료 4주 후에도 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 외상 후 성장 하위요인 중 ‘새로운 가능성의 발견’, ‘영적․종교적 관심의 증가’ 요인은 유의미한 변화를 확인할 수 없었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 후속연구에 대한 제안사항을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) program on complex PTSD symptoms, experiential avoidance, and post-traumatic growth of women who involved in prostitution. Eight participants in A rehabilitation agency were assigned to a wait-control group, and 9 participants in B rehabilitation agency were assigned to a treatment group. The agencies are located in different provincial regions. The treatment group received 8 sessions of the program that lasted 120 minutes for each session. The scales used are as follows: Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms Scale; Acceptance & Action Questionnaire-Ⅱ; and Korea Version Posttraumatic Growth Inventory. Data were collected at three time points: pre, post, and follow-up (4 weeks later). As a results of the data analyses, there was a statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the wait-control group in terms of complex PTSD symptoms, experiential avoidance and overall post-traumatic growth. Treatment effects were found to last 4 weeks after the program completion. Finally, the limitations of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
