전통적인 일본어 교육은 언어숙달을 목적으로 하여 교수자의 주입식 교수법으로 문법적 정확성과 독해력 향상이 강조되어 왔다. 하지만 시대적 변화와 함께 지금 교육에서 요구되고 있는 것은 지식의 함양이 아니라 지식의 응용과 지식을 활용한 문제해결 능력과 통합적인 사고를 할 수 있는 능력이다. 팀 기반 학습은 이러한 새로운 교육 패러다임에 부응하는 교수법으로 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 일본어학 교육에 있어서도1) TBL을 적용할 수 있는지2) 적용하면 기존의 수업과 차별화가 가능한지3) 적용하면 학습자들의 역량 함양을 기대할 수 있는지4) 효과적으로 실시하기 위해 필요한 것은 무엇인지위의 4가지를 알아보기 위해 실시한 연구이다. 학습자들의 대답을 통해 어학 교육에 있어서도 TBL의 적용할 수 있으며 교수자가 기대하는 학습성과를 얻을 수 있다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다.
Abstract
Traditional Japanese language education has stressed the promotion of grammatical precision and reading comprehension through teachers' one-way instruction methods. However, times have changed and education these days focuses less on the acquisition of information, but more on the ability to apply knowledge and think holistically. Team-based learning is gaining popularity as an appropriate teaching method for this new educational paradigm. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) whether TBL can be applied to Japanese language instruction, 2) whether it can be differentiated from existing programs, 3) whether it can be expected to develop students' abilities, and 4) what is required for effective implementation. Based on the responses and feedback of the students, we concluded that TBL can be applied to language instruction and that teachers can attain the desired learning outcomes.
