Abstract
This study analyzes instructors’ experiences in designing and implementing learning experiences for digital innovation technology and ethics convergence education, focusing on the ‘Big Data Ethics’ course from Big Data University in Covergence and Open Sharing System. The research identified six learning experience design principles: learner-centricity, real-world relevance, problem-solving experience, balance between risks and possibilities, interdisciplinary inquiry, and critical inquiry. Analysis of the team-teaching implementation revealed several limitations: differences in ethical approaches based on students' original majors, psychological burden of ethics scenarios directly connected to students' lives, need for harmony between agency and passive perspectives in ethical frameworks, lack of content related to post-graduation big data ethics scenarios, and insufficient experience in producing solutions for ethical dilemmas. Based on these findings, the study proposes teaching strategies that facilitate balance between problem-centric and data-centric approaches, and introduces a dual-perspective ethics framework.
