초록

본 연구는 초심상담자의 부모화 돌봄 및 부모화 불공평 경험과 공감적 이해의 관계를 살펴보고, 그 관계에서 정서인식명확성의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초심상담자 150명을 대상으로 부모화 척도(FRS-A), 정서인식명확성 척도(TMMS), 공감적 이해 척도(BLRI-EU)로 구성된 자기보고식 설문을 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 26.0과 Hayes(2013)의 PROCESS Macro를 통해 기술통계, 상관분석, 일원배치분산분석, 위계적 회귀분석, 매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모화 불공평은 정서인식명확성과 유의미한 상관관계를 보였으며, 정서인식명확성은 공감적 이해와 유의미한 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 공감적 이해에 대한 부모화 돌봄의 설명력은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모화 불공평이 공감적 이해에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 넷째, 부모화 불공평과 공감적 이해의 관계에서 정서인식명확성이 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 초심 상담자의 부모화 불공평 경험은 정서인식명확성을 감소시키고 공감적 이해에 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The study examined the relationship between novice counselors' experiences of parentification caregiving and parentification unfairness, empathic understanding, and the mediating effect of emotional clarity. A self-report survey was administered to 150 novice counselors using the Family Responsibility Scale for Adults (FRS-A), the Korean version of the Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS), and the Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory Empathic Understanding Subscale (BLRI-EU). Data were analyzed for descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA, hierarchical regression analysis, and mediation effects using SPSS 26.0 and Hayes' (2013) PROCESS Macro. The results are as follows. First, parentification unfairness significantly correlated with emotional clarity, which in turn significantly correlated with empathic understanding. Second, results of the hierarchical regression analysis indicated no significant relationship between parentification caregiving and empathic understanding. Third, parentification unfairness negatively impacted empathic understanding. Fourth, emotional clarity fully mediated the relationship between parentification unfairness and empathic understanding, suggesting that experiences of parentification unfairness among novice counselors decrease emotional clarity and indirectly influence empathic understanding. The significance and limitations of this study were also discussed.
