Abstract
As a result of reviewing the seasonal customs in the Goryeo Dynasty, it was identified as Taoist customs, such as the worship of SeoWangMo on January 7th, the amulet and ChangPo liquor on the 5th of May, mountain climbing on 9th of September, SuGyeongShin and all-night event on New Year’s Eve. On January 7th, InNil, People of Goryeo built the shape of SeoWangMo to overcome the disaster and prayed for their longevity. The bureaucrats received InSung and NokPae, salary card, on the day. InSung was an Hair ornament symbolizing SeoWangMo. The king granted InSung them, prayed for their health and longevity. His Officials regarded it as the king's favor, and were proud of their great honor. SuGyeongSin for staying up all night on the day of GyeongSin was the typical Taoist custom of Goryeo. On the GyeongSin day SamShiChung who is in a person's body, goes up to heaven and tells the evil deeds of the man to The Great Jade Emperor. the GyeongSin day is returned every 60 days, it was held for each of the year. Goryeo People had the custom of drinking ChangPo liquor and attaching an amulet on the 5th of May, Dano. ChangPo liquor was one of the Taoist drugs and believed that drinking ChangPo liquor can live a long life. This day’s amulet is to prevent a disaster, began at the amulet of Gal Hong. On 9th of September, JungYang the people of Goryeo Pouch went to high spot with Cornus officinalis Pouch, had the custom of drinking chrysanthemum liquor. This custom was based on the Taoism technique and its origin was the Taoist BiBangJang. There was SuSe similar to SuGyeongSin. It is called SuSe that lightens the light and does not sleep all night on New Year's Eve. SuSe is related to the kitchen god, JoShin. JoShin was also important in Taoism. According to the Taoist book, JoShin ascended to the heaven on the last night of the every month and reported the sins of the people to SangJe, the god of heaven. Even on New Year's Eve, JoShin reports on human sins, so it became a custom to light up on the New Year's Eve to prevent it. The seasonal customs are repeated periodically every year, giving a feeling of empathy and universality. In the end, this fact meant that Taoism had a great influence on Goryeo society with Buddhism and Confucianism.
