21세기의 글로벌 문화를 살아가는 지금 타인에 대한 올바른 이해와 상호협력은 공존 공생을 위한 필수 덕목이라고 할 수 있다. 우리와 마주하고 있는 서양 문화의 근간이 된 로마 문명과 그리스도교 문명의 이해에 있어서, 구체성을 제공하는 이탈리아 문학 연구는 필요하다. 국가 경계보다 경제력에 의한 구분이 또렷해지는 현재 지구촌에서 글로벌 문화를 공유하고 다양한 통로로 전달되는 정보를 살아가는 현대인에게, 역사 문화를 통해 전해지던 정체성에 대한 인식은 간과되기 쉽다. 월터 마우로의 설명에 의하면, 마리오 솔다티는 당시 알베르토 모라비아와 엘리오 빗토리니 등 대표적인 신사실주의 작가들과 분명한 거리를 두고, 작가 내면의 비밀을 드러내는 무의식의 비밀과 연관 지을 수 있는 자서전적 글쓰기를 해나갔다. 솔다티는 데 상티스가 이론화한 이탈리아의 현실과 이상 사이의 관계에 주목한 글쓰기를 한다.
Abstract
Living in the global culture of the 21st century, proper understanding of others and mutual cooperation are essential virtues for coexistence and symbiosis. To understand the Roman and Christian civilizations that formed the foundation of Western culture, the study of Italian literature is essential for providing concrete insights. In today's global village, where economic power is becoming more defined than national borders, modern people, sharing a global culture and living in a world where information is transmitted through diverse channels, can easily overlook the sense of identity conveyed through historical and cultural traditions. According to Walter Mauro, Mario Soldati maintained a clear distance from the leading neorealist writers of the time, such as Alberto Moravia and Elio Vittorini, and dedicated himself to autobiographical writing that connects to the author's inner secrets, revealing his most intimate secrets and the secrets of the unconscious. Soldati's writing focuses on the relationship between Italian reality and ideals, as theorized by De Sanctis.
