한국 고등학생의 자기-가치감 수반성 척도 타당화 연구

초록

본 연구는 자기-가치감 수반성 척도(Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale: CSWS; Crocker, Luhtanen, Cooper, & Bouvrette, 2003)를 한국말로 번안하여 이의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하고, 이를 통해 한국 고등학생들의 자기-가치감 수반성 영역을 알아보고자 하였다. 먼저 연구자가 CSWS를 한국어로 번안한 후, 번안된 문항에 대한 내용 타당도와 안면 타당도의 확인을 거쳤다. 이후 전국에 소재한 인문계 고등학교에 재학 중인 청소년을 대상으로 설문을 실시했으며, 각각 364명의 자료로 탐색적 및 확인적 요인분석을 시행하여 요인 구조를 확인하고 문항 구조의 타당도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 총 25문항 6개 요인구조가 제안되었는데, 5개 요인(신의 사랑, 도덕성, 타인의 인정, 가족의 지지, 외모)은 미국에서 나타난 요인과 동일하였고, 1개 요인은 한국 고등학생의 학업장면에서의 경쟁적 문화를 반영하는 새로운 요인(학업 성취)이었다. 선정된 25개 문항에 대한 확인적 요인분석 결과 6요인 모형의 전반적 부합지수들이 모두 양호하였고, 내적 합치도 또한 높게 나타났다. 또한 한국판 자기-가치감 수반성 척도(K-CSWS)는 삶의 만족도 척도와는 정적 상관을 보이고, 내면화된 수치심 척도와는 상관을 보이지 않아 수렴 및 변별타당도를 입증하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop the Korean Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale(K-CSWS) and examine it's reliability and validity. Also, attempt to identify the domains of Contingencies of Self-Worth in Korean high school students. First, The Korean translation of CSWS was developed through content and face validity. Then, Korean Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale(K-CSWS) administered to 728 Korean high school students. The item validity of K-CSWS was proved by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The factor analysis results yielded a 25 items Korean Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale(K-CSWS) with six factors. Five factors (God's love, virtue, other's approval, family love and support, appearance) were almost identical to the original CSWS; however, a new factor (achievement satisfaction) emerged in Korea. The correlated six-factor model provided an acceptably good fit to the data in the full samples, and internal consistency were satisfactory. This results supported the Validity of the Korean Contingencies of Self-Worth Scale(K-CSWS). Also, the K-CSWS had correlation with SWLS (The Satisfaction With Life Scale), and ISS(Interalized Shame Scale), which verified the convergent and discriminant validity. Finally, the implication and limitation of this study were discussed.
