교수-학습 자료로서의 웹 텍스트 정보감식성 판단기준에 대한 탐색 -교재로서의 적절성을 중심으로-

이 글은 웹 텍스트자원의 교수-학습 자료로서의 정보감식성의 판단기준에 대한 탐색으로, 웹 텍스트자원의 교재로서의 적절성에 관한 기초적 기준설정을 목적으로 한 것이다. 정보감식능력이 요구되는 웹 시대의 교육적 과제로 웹 자원의 교육 자료로서의 적절성에 대한 감식능력이 요구되며, 텍스트는 전통적으로 학교 교재의 기본이라 할 수 있으므로 웹 텍스트자원의 교재로서의 적절성에 대한 문제가 중요한 해결 과제이다. 한편, 웹 자원의 교육적 활용은 다양하게 행해지고 있지만 기대만큼의 효과가 없었으며, 매체생태학의 관점에서 보면 웹 텍스트자원의 편향성으로 인해 예기치 못한 불균형이 초래된 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 불균형을 극복할 방법으로 웹 텍스트자원에 대한 비판적 고찰과 분명한 식견으로 접근할 필요성에 따라, 그 방법으로 웹에 대한 여러 주장들로부터, 웹 텍스트자원의 특성에 대한 분석을 통해 웹 텍스트자원의 교재로서의 적절성의 기준을 이끌어냈다. 그 결과 “정확성, 표준성, 난이도, 건전성, 그리고 신뢰성”의 다섯 개의 기준이 도출됐다. 이를 준거로, 웹 텍스트자원이 초래할 불균형의 극복을 위해 이 기준에 못 미치는 사례를 웹에서 검색해서 분석한 결과, 오류가 있는 언어습득, 금기시되거나 불건전한 내용습득, 등의 문제점, 즉 불균형이 구체적으로 드러났으며, 이러한 자원은 교재로서 적절하지 않은 것이다.
Abstract
This is a search on the guidelines of information literacy for the judgment of Web text as teaching-learning materials. And to establish the basic guidelines of the web text resources as the appropriate teaching materials is the purpose of this study. Although there have been many assertions about the instructional usefulness of the Web resources, along with the tremendously increasing use of the web, those assertions have not been verified and have had many other problems. Therefore, it is required to solve these problems and one method to do this is to examine the web resources from the viewpoint of media ecology. That is, in this paper, the usefulness of the Web text resources as teaching materials was examined from the viewpoint of the media ecology. The media ecology insists that a clear-sighted, critical contemplation is the only means to avoid being overrun by new media and technology and thus maintain a healthy social balance. Based on this media ecology`s viewpoint, the basic guidelines on the appropriateness of the web text resources as teaching-learning materials were drawn from the characteristics of web resources. These basic guidelines are as follows: Accuracy, Standard, Difficulty, Soundness, and Reliability. Finally, based on the above 5 guidelines, the case examples were examined from the web resources.
