공격성이 학교폭력 가해행동에 미치는영향에서 폭력정당화의 조절효과

The moderator effect of justification of violence on the effect of aggression on school violence

초록

이 연구의 목적은 공격성과 폭력정당화가 학교폭력 가해행동 유형에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 EBS 학교폭력진단검사를 개발하기 위하여 전국 중고등학생 6,128명을 대상으로 수집한 자료를 사용하였다. 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 청소년의 공격성과 전체 학교폭력 가해행동 총점의 관계에서 폭력정당화의 조절효과가 검증되었고(연구가설1), 신체폭력, 언어폭력, 성폭력, 강요, 사이버폭력, 따돌림, 스토킹에 대하여도 공격성의 관계를 폭력정당화가 조절하는 것으로 관찰되었다(연구가설2). 이러한 결과는 폭력정당화가 높은 경우 공격성이 높을수록 학교폭력 가해행동이 더 큰 폭으로 증가하게 되고, 폭력 정당화가 낮을 때는 공격성이 높더라도 학교폭력 가해행동이 더 적은 폭으로 증가하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 학교폭력 가해학생의 특별교육 또는 치료 프로그램 구성시 이들의 역기능적인 인지도식을 수정하여 변화시킬 수 있는 인지치료 기법이 반영될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of aggression and justification of violence on the types of school violence. To this end, data collected from 6,128 middle and high school students across the country were used to develop the EBS school violence diagnostic test. According to the analysis results, the moderating effect of justification of violence was verified in the relationship between aggression and the total score of school violence of adolescents (Study Hypothesis 1), violence justification also controls the relationship between physical violence, verbal violence, sexual violence, coercion, cyber violence, bullying, and stalking (Study Hypothesis 2). These results show that when justification of violence is high, the more aggressive the behavior of school violence increases, and when justification of violence is low, the more aggressive the behavior of school violence increases. Therefore, it suggests that cognitive therapy techniques that can modify and change their dysfunctional schema need to be reflected in the composition of special education or treatment programs for students who commit school violence.
