일본기업의 환경보호와 기업윤리 특성

본 연구는 《社會貢獻度 2003》의 목록자료를 이용하여 일본기업의 환경보호와 기업윤리 특성이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통해 일본기업의 환경보호와 기업윤리에서 나타나는 다섯 가지의 특성을 발견하였다. 첫째, 일본기업은 환경정보, 불리한 정보의 공개방법을 규정하지 않거나, 환경보호단체와의 협력, 녹화사업에 노력하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일본기업은 기업윤리의 준수활동에서 정보공개나 외부지침을 참고하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 일본기업은 대규모 기업이 소규모 기업에 비하여 기업윤리 활동을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 일본기업은 환경보호와 기업윤리 측면에서 경기변동 폭이 심한 부동산건설 업종을 중요하게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 일본기업은 사회기여비율이 높은 기업일수록 그렇지 않는 기업들보다 환경보호와 기업윤리 정도가 높게 평가되었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 일본기업의 환경보호와 기업윤리는 서구사회와는 달리 제한된 범위 내에서 소극적으로 추진되어 왔던 것이다. 하지만 최근에는 기업이 경제에서 차지하는 비중이 높아지고 고객들도 환경보호에 대한 관심이 높아지는 등 경영환경이 변화함에 따라 기업윤리가 크게 다양해지고 점차 활발하게 추진되고 있다.【핵심어】 일본기업, 환경보호, 기업윤리, 사회공헌활동, 사회적 책임
Abstract
This study aims to review the direction of desirable environmental protection and business ethics in Japanese company and understands its characteristic, based on basic data of 'Social Contribution 2003' published by a Japanese press. The summaries of this study are as follows. First, Japanese company does not provide the opening to the public method of environmental information which is disadvantageous. And it does not endeavor at the cooperativeness with the environmental protection group and a tree-planting campaign. Second, Japanese company does not refer to information opening to the public or the external guide in observance activity of business ethics. Third, in a business ethics activity, the large scale Japanese company is better than the small scale Japanese company. Fourth, Japanese regard the real estate business and the construct industry as the great business. Even if their business fluctuations are serious. Fifth, Japanese company that the social contribution ratio is high were highly evaluated in environmental protection and business ethics degree. In conclusion, environmental protection and business ethics of Japanese company were passive within the limited range. The business environment of Japanese is different from that of Europe. Recently Japanese company is interested in environmental protection and business ethics.
