초록
This study investigates the effect of organic farming on agricultural income in Korea, using an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. Using yearly data from 2003 to 2023 for nine provinces, this study utilizes three panel ARDL models: MG, PMG, and DFE. Based on results of the Hausman test, PMG is the most efficient method. The results also show a long-run relationship. In the long-run, while labor has a positive effect on agricultural income, capital has negative effect on agricultural income in Korea. Organic farming areas have a positive effect on agricultural income in a long-run. Our results imply that organic farming should be re-evaluated based on policy. Furthermore, future studies should analyze which organic products contribute the most to agricultural income in Korea.
