이 논문은 대학 글쓰기 교육에서 사고력 학습에 도움이 될 내용 요소들을 분석하는데 초점을 두었다. 또한 이 논문에서는 대학 글쓰기 과목은 비판적 사고, 창의적 사고, 문제 해결적 사고와 같은 복합적 사고기능을 익히기에 도움이 된다는 것을 증명하고자 했다. 일반적으로 사고기능은 기초적 사고기능, 발달적 사고기능, 복합적 사고기능으로 나뉘어 진다. 대학 글쓰기 과목이 가장 중점을 두는 것은 복합적 사고기능이다. 복합적 사고기능은 문제를 인식하고, 분석하며, 가능한 대안을 찾고, 해결책을 강구하는 사고 영역이다. 이 속에는 비판적, 창의적, 의사 결정적 사고들이 포함된다. 대학 글쓰기 교육에서는 과정 중심의 글쓰기 전략 학습과 문제 해결적 글쓰기 학습을 통해 복합적 사고력을 학습하기에 유리하다. 글쓰기 과정을 학습하는 가운데 자연스럽게 기초적 사고기능뿐만 아니라 복합적 사고기능을 학습할 수 있다. 특히 이 중에서도 문제 해결적 글쓰기 모형은 기초적 사고와 복합적 사고를 일관된 체계성 속에서 학습할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 과제를 인식하고, 분석하며, 합리적 대안을 찾고 해결책을 강구하는 과정 속에서 자연스럽게 다양한 사고기능의 학습이 이루어지기 때문이다. 이와 아울러 이 논문에서는 대학 글쓰기 교육의 내용 요소들을 분석하고, 이를 사고기능의 유형과 비교해 보고 있다. 이를 통해 과정 중심의 전략방법이 사고기능의 방법들과 흡사하며, 또 이 두 가지는 동일한 과정을 보는 두 가지 관점임을 설명하고자 했다. 글쓰기 전략은 사고기능의 도움을 받으며, 사고기능은 글쓰기를 통해 표상된다. 결론적으로 대학 글쓰기 교육은 통합적 사고 모형을 통해 표현 기능의 학습과 사고기능의 학습이 동시에 가능하다는 점을 밝히고자 했다.
Abstract
This study focuses on analyzing the factors that help the learning of thinking skill in college writing instruction. Also it has the intention to prove that college writing help students learn in complicated thinking skill such as critical thinking skill, creative thinking skill and the skill of the problem solving. In general there are three thinking skills: basic thinking skill, developmental thinking skill and complicated thinking skill. Most of all college writing focuses on complicated thinking skill. Complex thinking skill is the one of the thinking skills; it is identifying, defining problemand exploring possible alternatives and then solving the problems. Therefore complex thinking skill includes critical thinking skill, creative thinking skill and decision-making skill. Method of college writing instruction includes process-based writing strategy and model of writing for solving problems. Therefore learners are able to learn not only basic thinking skill naturally and but also complicated thinking skill through writing process. In particular model of writing for solving problem has the merit that students are able to learn basic thinking skill and complicated thinking skill through consistent system. Namely through this thinking procedure: identifying problem, analyzing problem, and exploring alternative approaches and solving problem students will learn diverse thinking skills. This study is to analyzethe factors of writing instruction and to compare them with the types of thinking skills. It also explains strategy of process-based writing is similar to methods of thinking skill. Strategies of writing are achieved through thinking and thinking is expressed only through language writing. In conclusion the aim of this study is to explain that college writing instruction enables to the learning of expression skill and the learning of thinking skill at the same time.
