Abstract
In this article, as a historical background for Goguryeo's influence on Baekje’s culture during the Sabi period, I classified the migration status of the Three Kingdoms to examine the possibility of migration of Goguryeo and the former Baekje people and reviewed the issue of territorial rights over the Han River basin in the late 5th and early 6th centuries. The review results are summarized as follows. By examining examples related to population movement in the Three Kingdoms, I was able to identify categories such as the acquisition of prisoners of war, political asylum, mass migration due to disasters, mobilization of labor, settlement of refugees, forced migration following the construction of a core city, and aspects similar to Qiaozhi(僑置: migration of administrative district). Among them, the acquisition of prisoners of war, mobilization of labor, forced migration following the construction of a core city, and aspects similar to Qiaozhi are considered to be a reference for the impact of Goguryeo culture by the migration. Both the theory of possession and the theory of movement had problems in the discussion of territorial rights over the Han River basin in the late 5th and early 6th centuries. A certain degree of compromise is needed on this issue, and recently, there has been a lot of compromise theory that in 529 Goguryeo reclaimed the Han River basin that Baekje had recaptured in the early 6th century. In this regard, the possibility of Qiaozhi in Baekje was examined through Qiaozhi patterns of Eastern-Jin(東晉) and Southern Dynasties(南朝). As a result, it was judged that the place names related to the Han River basin in the late 5th century were the result of Qiaozhi, whereas Gomok-seong(高木城: castle) and Masu-chaek(馬首柵: defense facility) in the early 6th century were highly likely not. But Ssanghyeon-seong(雙峴城: castle) in 523 was also considered to be migrated the place name around Hanseong(漢城) through Qiaozhi.
