Abstract

With the rapid development of the information age, public data platforms have become a core infrastructure for promoting socio-economic development, improving government transparency, and enhancing citizen participation. This study will provide an in-depth analysis of the current status of services provided by Shanghai’s public data platforms and the challenges they face, as well as propose solutions to improve the current status of services. As a core infrastructure in the information age, Shanghai’s public data platform not only improves the mass use of public data, but also promotes the application of data in finance, education, and other fields, making it a necessary element of urban intelligence. However, with the dramatic increase in the amount of data and the occurrence of multiple situations, methods to strengthen data security and privacy protection, data utilisation efficiency and methods to improve international exchange and cooperation are urgent issues. In this regard, this study proposes improvement plans that include revising and formulating more comprehensive legal policies, simplifying login authentication procedures, and enhancing data security and privacy protection. At the same time, it aims to provide valuable references and insights for the construction of Shanghai’s public data platform and China’s national public data platform in the future. By introducing these improvement solutions, large-scale data can be analysed and processed quickly to better meet user needs and promote data innovation. To ensure the sustainability of the future Shanghai public data platform, attention should be paid to improving user participation and feedback mechanisms. Through the establishment of open and interactive communication channels, user feedback will be collected and reflected in the service in a timely manner, so that the announcement data platform can be closer to user needs and service satisfaction can be improved.
