This study investigates the diachronic change of Osshaimasu and the periods of its initial and complete uses, focusing on the tendency of ‘slow’ and ‘fast’ changes in the formation of Osshaimasu in Edo language of the period Angei-Tempo. The result of the study is as follows: (1) From the geological point of view, the linguistic change Ossharimasu → Osshaimasu of Edo language is faster than that of Kamigata Language. (2) The change of Ossharimasu → Osshaimasu is slower than that of Osshare → Osshai. (3) From the point of view of gender status, the change of Ossharimasu → Osshaimasu in female speech is faster than that in male speech. (4) The change of Ossharimasu → Osshaimasu is slower than those of Irassharimasu → Irasshaimasu, Kudasarimasu ⟶ Kudasaimasu, Gozarimasu ⟶ Gozaimasu and Nasarimasu → Nasaimasu. (5) The change of Osshaimasu occurs in Kansei period. (6) The change of Ossharimasu → Osshaimasu completed in Tempo period.
