사티어 변형 체계적 치료를 경험한 내담자의 사례 분석

본 연구의 사례는 알코올 중독과 가정폭력 문제를 가진 가해자 남편을 상담에 참여시킬 수 없는 상황에서 40여년을 피해자로 살아온 60대 노년 여성을 사티어 변형 체계적 치료 이론에 근거하여 상담한 사례이다. 상담 결과로서, 내담자는 자신의 빙산의 변화를 통하여 삶의 질 향상과 궁극적으로 부부 상호작용의 긍정적 변화를 나타내었다. 자료 수집은 상담 전체 17회기와 추후 면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, 회기요약과 함께 빙산의 변화 분석과 내담자의 심리내적 변화과정 분석을 사용하여 내담자의 자기(self) 차원의 변화, 즉 변형이 일어나는 과정을 제시하였다. 빙산 변화과정의 관점에서 분석하였을 때, 내담자는 무기력과 분노의 상태에서 희망과 열정의 방향으로 변화한 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 심리내적변화과정 분석을 통해서는 정체 상태에서 상대방에 대한 원망 및 자기의 위축 상태에서 자기 삶의 대한 책임의식 회복과 자아의 확장의 상태로 변화한 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 사례 연구를 통해, 부부나 가족 모두가 상담에 참여할 수 없는 노인 여성 내담자에게 사티어 변형 체계적 치료의 여러 치료적 개입방법이 효과적인 치료적 이득을 제공하고 있음을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study provides a case of a female client in her early sixties who has lived with a her husband with serious alcoholic and domestic violence problem for 40 years using the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy. At the end of the counselling, the life quality of the client has improved, and ultimately the affirmative alteration of marital relationship has occured. Data were collected from total of seventeen sessions and a follow-up session. By providing the abridged recordings of sessions, this study showed intrapsychic change process and transformation from the Icerberg analysis. From the Icerberg viewpoint, the client has moved on from the state of helplessness and anger to hope and desire. From the intrapsychic point of view, the resentment toward her husband and the low self-confidence changed into the recovery of a sense of responsibility of her life and the expansion of her self. The present case study demonstrates that the use of multiple intervention strategies of the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy provides effective therapeutic benefits to the old female client whose problems were closely related to family issue, yet family or couple was unavailable.
