Abstract
This study analyzed how the ‘Creative Product-Making’ activity tasks presented in nine sixth-grade Practical Arts textbooksdeveloped under the 2022 Revised National Curriculum reflect the intentions and requirements of the curriculum. The study aimedto analyze the characteristics of these activity tasks and to identify directions for future improvement. Seven analysis categorieswere established: structure, materials and tools, stages of the technological problem-solving process, supplementary materials, ideavisualization, maker activities, and assessment. The findings indicated that the activity tasks were presented as subunits within theinvention chapter and were organized to address problems encountered in daily life. Materials and tools primarily consisted of commonly accessible items and recycled materials. Within the technological problem-solving process, a relatively greater emphasis was placed on the stages of idea exploration and implementation than on problem identification or evaluation. Supplementary materialswere concentrated in the implementation stage, including safety guidance and QR-based instructional videos. Idea visualization wassupported mainly through sketches, and maker activities focused on sharing rather than collaboration. Assessment practices reliedlargely on self-evaluation with limited diversification of tools. Overall, the results suggest that the textbooks generally reflect theintentions of the 2022 Revised National Curriculum while providing implications for instructional application and future refinement, particularly in balancing learning stages, strengthening collaborative structures, and diversifying assessment practices.
