21세기 북한의 음악- 교류와 협력을 중심으로

Abstract

There have been tremendous changes in North Korean music in the 21st-century. Among the outstanding features are, larger possibilities and the necessity of mutual cooperation, and the expansion of a common area in musical fields between North and South Korea. These transitional trends, have eased inter-Korean exchange and cooperation in music. Firstly, this paper examines the transformed aspects of North Korean music from the perspective of cultural exchange and cooperation. Next, it aims to find out more concrete ways of planning inter-Korean exchange and cooperation in musical fields by looking at points raised by previous conversations. For this aim, it is necessary to exclude those contents that cannot be commonly accepted by both Koreas, while the focus should be on practical exchanges and cooperation plans. The areas of exploration have largely defined as “The Characteristics of Inter-Korean Performance Exchanges in 2018”, “Changes in Korean Traditional Music and the music of Choseon Minjok Chaeil”, “The introduction and expansion of Popular Music”, “A Re-interpretation of Contemporary songs and the Inter-Korean Collaborative Music”, “Broadcasting South Korean music in the North in a Post-split Korea”, “Cultural Exchange and Cooperation in Musical Fields.”
