송미경 환상동화에 나타난 실재계적 리얼리즘

대부분의 문학작품은 현실을 반영한다는 측면에서 리얼리즘 문학이나, 당대사회 현실의 객관적 묘사가 얼마만큼의 타당성을 지니고 있는가가 리얼리즘의 질적 기준이 될 것이다. 리얼리즘은 현실보다 현실이 지니는 가치에 관심을 두며 사실에의 충실성과 예술적 창조 사이의 균형이 유지된 결과물이다. 한국 아동문학에서 이러한 리얼리즘의 개념을 가장 잘 파악한 동화작가로 송미경이 있다. 그의 환상동화는 뚜렷한 인과법칙 속에서 삶의 진실에 접근하기 위해 부단히 애쓰며, 이때 환상은 인간의 삶을 더 나은 방향으로 움직이게 하는 실재계와의 교섭을 암시한다. 따라서 본고에서는 『돌 씹어 먹는 아이』와 『혀를 사 왔지』를 중심으로 실재계적 리얼리즘의 면모가 작품 속에서 어떠한 방식으로 드러나는지 고찰하였다. 송미경의 작품에서 반문화적 태도는 현실과 이상의 분열을 폭로한다. 현재 정상적이라고 판단되어지는 것들에 의문을 제기하며, 현재 시점에서 인식 가능한 미래를 예측하여 실제적 변화에 접근한다. 또한 작품에 등장한 인물과 긴밀히 얽히는 사물은 현실의 정확한 모방을 객관적으로 제시하려는 욕구이다. 그는 사물을 드러내기보다 오히려 사물을 포기하면서 현실을 해명하고 세계의 질서를 꿰뚫고자 한다. 그 결과 송미경의 리얼리즘이 세계의 질서를 관철하는 과정에서 구축되며, 현실보다는 미래에 근접한 혁명적 결과물임을 파악하였다. 아울러 그의 동화에서 환상적인 이미지는 무의식적 욕망의 실재계와 대면하는 방식으로 경화된 현실에 전복적인 힘을 발휘함을 확인하였다.
Abstract
In terms of reflecting reality, most literary works will be a qualitative criterion for realism, but how valid the objective description of reality in society at the time has. Realism is the result of maintaining a balance between fidelity to facts and artistic creation, paying attention to the value of reality rather than reality. Song Mi-kyung is a fairy tale writer who best understood the concept of realism in Korean children's literature. His fantasy fairy tale constantly strives to approach the truth of life in a clear law of causality, and at this time, the fantasy implies negotiations with the real world that move human life in a better direction. Therefore, this paper examines how the aspect of real-world realism is revealed in the work, focusing on "A Stone Chewing Child" and "Bought a Tongue." In Song Mi-kyung's work, the countercultural attitude exposes the division between reality and ideals. It raises questions about what is currently judged to be normal and approaches actual changes by predicting the recognizable future from the present point of view. In addition, the object that is closely intertwined with the character in the work is the desire to objectively present an accurate imitation of reality. Rather than revealing things, he tries to explain reality and penetrate the world's order by giving up things. As a result, it was found that Song Mi-kyung's realism was built in the process of carrying out the world's order and was a revolutionary result closer to the future than the reality. In addition, it was confirmed that the fantastic image in his fairy tale exerts a subversive force on hardened reality in a way that faces the real world of unconscious desire.
