Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the operational efficiency of airports in Asia and to provide information on planing and decision making of airports by using data envelopment analysis(DEA). 11 major airports in Asia were selected as decision making units(DMU) from 2003 to 2007 for this study. Efficiency measures are based on four input factors including passenger terminal size, cargo terminal size, number of aprons, runways and three output factors consisting of number of passengers, cargo, movements. The results of study research provide several indications about both efficient airports and inefficient airports by providing information on the quantitative factors so that which aspect needs to be improved and controled for inefficient airports to be on the efficient level.
