Abstract
In the field of skincare, we aim to analyze the behavioral intentions of customers using skincare clinics through extended planned behavior research, including heuristics. This study examined the behavioral intentions of skincare clinic customers based on an extended theory of planned behavior, including heuristics, and additionally considered prior knowledge as a moderating variable. Out of the 700 respondents in this survey, data from 662 individuals, excluding 38 who responded insincerely, were collected and empirically analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 statistical package program. The results of this study showed differences according to demographic characteristics, and there were significant differences in subjective norms and affective heuristics depending on the type of skincare clinic. The influence of the extended theory of planned behavior on behavioral intentions differed according to the type of skincare clinic, and in the case of medical skincare clinics, there were no significant differences except for representativeness heuristics. Finally, prior knowledge had a significant moderating effect on the extended theory of planned behavior. This study is significant in that it examined the behavioral intentions of customers using skincare clinics by applying the extended theory of planned behavior.
