雪溪 文勵의 삶과 시세계 - 미완의 삶, 길 위의 시 -

Abstract

Seolgye(雪溪) Munryeo(文勵:1553-1605) is a son of Munikseong(文益成) whose teacher is Josik(曹植) and he is a student of Jeonginhong(鄭仁弘) whose teacher is also Josik. During the Imjinwaeran(Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592), he played a important role as a righteous army. Myung's generals who were impressed by his loyalty gave him Hanmukyubang(翰墨流芳). In the aspect of Region Korean literature in Chinese characters, the research about Munryeo is essential to study habchun(陜川) and Nampyung(南平) Mun(文) family's academic relationship. However, the reason of his death as well as his life history recorded wrongly and that is a reality these days. Thus, I tried to illuminate his life and poetry in this paper. He wanted to be a government official like Kangyeosang(姜呂尙) to make people are well than to be a scholar. However, he was involved in the bribery under a false accusation and died in the jail. So his dream was left incompletely. It is not too much to say that most his poetry included a great sadness except a few poem that represent nature. During the Imjinwaeran, he expressed his feelings in a poem such as patriotic sentiment, feelings of separation and yearning for his family, friends and hometown. This reflected the phases of the time, Imjinwaeran that was the disaster of nation, and his poetry represented pains and hopes of the time's people who wander in the road.
