고유어와 한자어는 국어 어휘의 두 핵심적 軸이 되는 것이지만, 어휘 構造에서는 매우 다른 모습을 보이고 있다. 本攷는 反義의 漢字가 연결되어 쓰이는 한자어를 拔萃하여 그 單語 구성 과정을 논의한 것이다. 이들의 연결 類型을 ‘Ⅰ. 意味論的 결합과 構造上의 의미 연결’로 나누어 檢證한 후, 다시 ‘Ⅱ. 그 語義 변화와 新意味 開拓 과정, 固有語에서는 찾아볼 수 없는 字順倒置形의 정리를 통한 의미의 同異性’을 살폈다. 그리하여 오랜 實用 역사 속에서 漢字의 國字化, 國語化 노력이 連綿히 이어져 왔음은 물론, 고유 국어와 한자어를 조화시킨 언어 생활의 豊饒化, 新意味 영역의 開發 등 지혜와 노력이 다음 세대에도 계속될 것임을 확인하였다. 本攷를 그 分量상 한 번에 다 싣지 못하여, Ⅰ과 Ⅱ로 나누어 두 번에 걸쳐 揭載하고자 한다.
Abstract
A Study on the Words Written in Chinese Characters Composed of Antonym Characters Seong, Hwan-gap As it is generally known, proper words and the words written in Chinese Characters are two essential core in Korean vocabulary. However in the formation of a word, proper words and the Chinese words have distinctively different shapes. Hence the examination on the Chinese words composed of antonym Characters is in the immediate requirement. I selected the Chinese words composed of antonym Characters in the Korean dictionary, and discussed the word formation. Also, in the paper, I looked into the connection types of these Chinese Characters in two ways. Firstly, I elucidated the relationship between semantical composition and structural semantic connections. Secondly, I investigated the similarity and difference of meaning through detailed perspectives, such as the change of the meaning of words, the development process of the new meaning, the unique formation of the inversion of character order, etc. From those points, I presumably confirmed that Koreans well harmonized proper words with the Chinese words in the practical usage of the Korean language. In this sense, some further research on this matter is highly required, and thus is waiting for more discussion.
