This paper deals with the formation and development of hierarchical ranking structure among universities in Korea and the natureof university education. As the growing number of university graduates have trouble with finding job opportunity, the developmentof skills and competency which are required for the labor market is becoming the most important role for universities. Finally, I proposedseveral policy suggestions to overcome negative aspect of hierarchical ranking structure of university.
Abstract
